Adventures of Hound Dog

Wherein Mom and Dad left me at Campe, and wherein amidst the fun of my new adventures, I missed them both. Wherein I know they missed me too, and would like to share in my adventures. Wherein the Adventures of Hound Dog came to be.

A Newcomer and my Squeaky Ball

Hi again Mom and Pops! I wanted to fill you in on some things that have been happening here at camp, because it's been very exciting! But before I do, you had asked about my arthritis. Lisa wanted me to tell you she has been feeding me California Natural and Wellness brand dog foods and supplementing with glucosamine/chondroitin, and any signs of arthritis have been mild, but she does notice some stiffness in my rear right leg occasionally when I first get up. Lisa plans to go back to my meaty bones and oatmeal and veggie diet after Louie leaves. He gets too excited when those meaty bones are around.

Okay, so Friday night Lisa brought home this new girl-dog named Moxie, who is going to stay with us for a week. She is sooooooo cute!!!! Lisa said since I am such a good boy that she thought it would be okay if I got to play with her! No one else got to, just me, because I'm so good!

Before I go any further, here is her picture. Is she not to die for?

Okay, so we are out in the yard, and Lisa gets out my squeaky ball to play fetch with. Now, I usually don't mind sharing, but I need to show off a little for Moxie, so I'm pretending like I own the squeaky ball, you know what I'm saying?

Okay, so then Moxie really is thinking I am a hot dog, because she starts following me everywhere! And it wasn't that she wanted the squeaky ball, okay maybe it was at first, but after a while I think she just thought I was so happening because I owned the squeaky ball.

So then of course I have to show off, you know how I like to bounce up and down and toss my toy around in case there is any doubt that I am the king of the toy? Well I was making it clear that I was the king of the squeaky ball. She was coy about it, but I know she noticed.

Hounddog gets the girl! You can see Maddy and Emma in the background. To be honest, I think they were a little jealous that they didn't get to be with the squeaky ball king...

So when you come back, we have to get a squeaky ball just like this one, okay?

Love from Camp!

Summer Nights at Camp

Hi Mom and Pops!

We've had some hot days here at Camp. But that makes the nighttime perfect for a romp or a hunting outing.

My two hunting partners are Maddy and Emma. We are always on the lookout for squirrels or small Tigers.

During the day, it's been over 100 degrees. Hot dog hot dog hot! Lisa waters us down, and then we get to roll in the dirt (heheheh!).

But then night falls again, and it's time for another hunt.

The squirrels are out. I've
gotta go! Can't wait to hear more about your new encounters in Trivandrum!

Love,

Hounddog
