Adventures of Hound Dog

Wherein Mom and Dad left me at Campe, and wherein amidst the fun of my new adventures, I missed them both. Wherein I know they missed me too, and would like to share in my adventures. Wherein the Adventures of Hound Dog came to be.

Guess Who?

Mom, you look so beautiful in all of those fancy clothes. And Pops, your lungi is to die for! Do dogs wear collars there? Are they viewed as pets in the same kind of way they are viewed here, or is it a little bit different? I think it would be neat to have a special fancy collar from there... hint hint.

Okay, on to some pictures from camp!

Lisa says she is so happy that everyone is getting along so well. (Except Louie, but he just found his new home! He left a few days ago. Here's a picture of the blind fluffball, just 'cause he's such a sight.)

See ya' Louie! Good luck in your new home!

And here's me and Maddy. You can tell by our expressions that someone had just finished telling a really good dog joke.

Heh heh heh...

I'm having a great time here, running around and jumping over the agility jumps like I am the puppy of the bunch. Lisa is convinced I have taken an agility class before, but I keep telling her it's just that I am especially talented in all ways.

It's way past my bed time... so one last thing... I miss you!

Love and unending slobbery kisses,

Hounddog

Oh my gosh, Hounddog, you look great! I am so glad you are having fun with your friends! And still acting like a puppy! You are too great! I have been missing you so much! I can't wait to get lots and lots of real slobbery kisses from you. Well, no, dogs don't really wear collars here. Most of the dogs I see just wander around the neighborhood and don't really live anywhere in particular or have a home. But I do think we can probably arrange something special for you from here. I will think about it a little more, and then I will send you something. Boy do I really miss you! It looks so good to see you smiling in all those pictures. You are having a good time; I can tell. What will you think when we get back? We'll have to rent the house next door to lisa or something, I guess. Well, you just keep having fun. I am so happy for you. What a great dog you are! Tell me more about those agility jumps. Lots of love from your momma. xxoo!

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments. Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:

O no! it is an ever-fixed mark

That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wandering bark,

Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool, though furry lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle's compass come:

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,

I never writ, nor no dog ever loved.

To Moxie, with love,

Hounddog

Oh, woe, Mom... her person took her home, and I fear Moxie is gone from me forever!

That other girl is Georgia, and she is C - R - A - Z - Y, like Energizer Bunny on overdrive crazy. She's supposed to get adopted by someone someday, but they are going to have to be pretty over the top too. Lisa says her person is out there somewhere and just hasn't found her yet... we live in hope.

Sigh... Moxie...Mom, your boy is heartbroken. But you know me, I'll bounce back. Nothing can keep the Hounddog down for long!

Love,
Hounddog
